Looking for business partners forum

It never ceases to amaze me that the majority of posts in that forum don't have a location in the thread title. How can you start a business in earnest without talking face to face with them/with someone who doesn't live near you?

Ok bit of an old thread bump, but what is your strategy to find cofounders on facebook?

I've actually found that linkedin is a better source than facebook - it's easier to find people interested in business plans (and listening to them!), and the "Q&A" section of linked in can help connect you with some professionals much more quickly than facebook it seems.

i agree, i love linked-in much more business minded. You can also see past job experience too, which is crucial in finding qualified people to work with.
