Not really, you ship product from a supplier to their place and they ship for you!

Hello,

I am an owner of a fulfillment company. We handle all storage, packing and shipping of products. Our warehouse is in Lyons, KS (it doesn't get any more central than this). We are now seeking new clients to add to the several we are currently handling operations for.

Additionally, we do have customer service representatives in case you need those services as well. We can assign a phone number and handle all calls as if we were a call center handling only your orders.

Hello Tyler,

Please post up your company info/site address.... I am probably going to need a fulfillment company in about 3 to 6 months time but i'd like to know more about your fees, how long you've been in business, and what kind of logistical features you are offering your clients currently. Get back to me when you get a minute and i'll talk to you soon. Cheers

Luc,

Those are great questions. We started out in 1999 selling and shipping books (thousands per month) online. However, during the process of creating an advanced inventory management system and shipping procedures we found that we had developed something that we could market to others.

Our inventory is barcoded for easy tracking in the warehouse.

Our website is www.prairielea.com, currently the website offers fulfillment services for libraries, nonprofits and businesses who have cds and books they want to sell online. However, we have been expanding into other lines.

Our fees are based upon the price of the item and it is negotiable on a case by case basis. Generally, we charge 20% of sales price for book type inventory but again this is just an idea.

For a few of our clients, we only charge a shipping/handling fee which is charged to the final customer. Due to our volume, diversification and dedication to keeping at the forefront of emerging technologies we are able to compete with the largest of fulfillment houses, while maintaining an edge in our customer service. Finally, geographically speaking, we are at a prime location being only an hour from the exact center of the continental United States. This is important due us being able to quote similar shipping speeds to both coasts.

Again, Thank you for your interest.

Tyler,

I was looking for the excact service that you provide for months!I know of ebay consignment stores but am not sure about the service and their fees. I reside outside US. Is there a possiblility that i ship my goods in bulk to your warehouse? Do you cover all this shipping fees? And if the items are sold, will i be charged the delivery fee to customers on top of the 20%+15% fees? Since you charge about 15% for listing on multiple marketplace, from experience how likely are you able to sell the product? What if the product dont sell? What about insurance on the product?

Maybe you could take this oppurtunity to explain to the rest. Do drop me an email or message.

Best,

Cheng,

Let me take the opportunity to each of your questions.

I reside outside US. Is there a possiblility that i ship my goods in bulk to your warehouse?

Absolutely, we specialize in helping international sellers reduce shipping fees and customs issues by sending one bulk shipment to us, which we distribute to the final consumer.

Do you cover all this shipping fees?
If you mean for the goods you ship to us, usually not. That is usually an expense that the seller handles. However, we are very willing to discuss this..

And if the items are sold, will i be charged the delivery fee to customers on top of the 20%+15% fees?

No, usually the customer pays a shipping & small handling fee. Therefore, you do not pay any delivery fees after the product is sold.

Also, I would like to point out that the 15-20% fee is not a hard and fast rule. It could possibly be less depending on the product.
.

Since you charge about 15% for listing on multiple marketplace, from experience how likely are you able to sell the product?

It definitely depends on the product and the pricing of the product. As you did mention we do currently sell on 16 venues around the world. Depending on your product we can continue to expand these marketplaces to fit your needs.

What if the product dont sell? What about insurance on the product?
If the product does not sell within a certain pre-agreed upon time frame it would be possible to ship the items to you. However, we are generally able to sell most product we receive and can liquidate the rest upon original sellers agreement through eBay or other means.

We can insure any product through any of the postal carriers. This fee is passed on to the final consumer at exact cost.

We do carry insurance on items in the warehouse.
