    Linking news to your website

Looking for anyone with experience to explain to me how to link news to your website, like from AP, that won't get you in trouble for putting their news on your website. I know there are news feeds, but would like to have the whole story.

    Thx in advance.

I think the only way you can publish entire AP stories is by getting a contract with them just like a newspaper or media outlet does. I am unaware of any news services that let you post up entire text of stories.

You're best bet is probably running an RSS feed of headlines--if that's cool with them--or linking/quoting stories in your own posts.

Who are you trying to get info from? A lot of times you can simply contact them and ask for a license to use their content.

I don't have a list of the proposed content providers, what I wanted to do is be able to search the internet for new stories and link them from my website to their website.

Are these going to be on nflpink.com? Sports-related articles that women would find interesting?

I'm sure lower-ranking news corporations would gladly allow you to link to them if you subtly mention traffic and hits.

Why not use news and other articles as subjects for your own articles? By creating your own content tailored to your specific audience, you'll create greater value. More time? Yes. More value, definitely.

Currently, our articles are based on others articles and news, we just wanted actual news from the actual news websites.

The way I look at it, the new NFL news appears multiple times a day, so when I don't have the time to write up a article (We will be producing 30+ unique articles a month), I would like to link to new NFL news as it is happening.

I should have put more detail into this post. Our articles are very unique, some based on today news, some based on history of nfl, some top 10's, survey's, etc. but i want my members to be able to come to the site and be able to read major news from major websites from our site

So, really what you want is to have NFL news piped through your website?
Conservative opinions from someone who thinks a little differently than most.

I'm just wondering whether that might dilute the information that is specifically tailored to your niche. You know what I mean? If they want to read sports news, they can go to espn. But I think you'd create more value by just focusing on taking information that women interested in the NFL would want to read about, rewriting it with your specific audience in mind, and not diluting it with other information that's not tailored to them just for the sake of providing more info. Focus on your niche.
