Always put a signature link in forums that links point to your site.
Post links to lot of social bookmarking sites.
Commenting the blog and link back to your site
Try to oppose the opinion on everyone or any popular poll. Everyone will argue and link back to you saying you’re wrong.
Use Question and Answering Website
Use Yahoo and Google Groups and interact with a link to your site in your site signature.

I liked the fourth point you mentioned,thats a very good observation.
Regarding points 1 and 3,I think it should be on fourms/blogs of relevant subject,without which the link is not going to carry much weight.

Another method I think works wonders is Article Submissions!

Not only are the links from those seen really highly in googles eyes, but they also produce a ton of traffic and portray you as an expert author.

I think the third strategy is the one that will build up your profile and credibility thus more people will trust you. If trust is built then they will be willing to trade something the expertise you are offering. Those three link building strategies are very useful and creative. Here’s my own experience about the second strategy, I know a person who was contacted by a website owner who was proposing of a link building job but wanted to hire the best among the best. So what he did was to make a contest among the candidate link builders and who ever made the most links for his site in 24 hours will be rewarded the position at a fair salary. It was a good strategy for the owner and i think he got this idea from your post.

Why differ to anyone if they are posting right thing or give good suggestion. I think you should correct this one technique, for me it is a black hat technique.

Jokes apart.I think you have covered the different aspects for link building.I would like to add social bookmarking is a recent trend and adds value to the links,if done well.
