Lets do it! Lets make 10k/mo

Hi, its me Denis. I was just wondering if any of you people are interested in making a high traffic blog with my business partner and me.

I bought this domain name: Doughstreet.com The plan is to make $10,000 dollars a month with it. It will be a true test indeed.

Let me explain what the blog would be about: The blog would obviously be a business blog, it would review sites, products services, give business advice, tips, tricks...etc

We will mainly generate capital from Advertising with Google adsense, and affiliate programs.

The site will be created with wordpress. The sites layout, and template is being custom made as we speak.

Our sites written content would be casual, not too professionally written because we want our readers to feel comfortable and relaxed, the content would be easy to understand.

    Available Positions ( 6 )

    * Writers ( Must know how to write with proper grammar, and spelling )
    * Web Site Developer (Skills: Dreamweaver, Wordpress, Joomla )
    * Graphics Designer ( Skills: Video editing, photoshop, custom images )
    * Marketers ( skills: Communication, advertising creativity )

Please send me a PM, or e-mail me at: Denopoly@gmail.com if you are interested in joining our team.

About Me: Im a web site developer, im very experinced with wordpress, joomla, cms, php, css, html, java, dreamwaever, photoshop...and much more.
I'm also the owner and operator of wristroom.com

Why I want to do this project? I have been working on many web sites, and internet projects. Over time you learn what works and what does not work. With a great domain name such as doughstreet, a business blog should survive and perhaps make some money.
will go into more detail after you have joined our team. Thank you for reading my post.

I bet there are already a ton of blogs out there that are doing the exact same thing as you. You need to describe what's gonna be so special about yours. And like other people said, what do the other people get? Are we just gonnna work for free and make you 10k a month? More details man.

den, u're a smart guy so there's no need to say these nonsensical things. if you're talking about starting a publishing business with some sort of a publication (i.e. a blog) - at least pick a market segment that sells...i dunno.."sell what sells"..is that a crazy idea or what?

porn, celebs, news, sport, fashion, gardening, cooking, music, gadgets - that's the sort of content that sells. no one (statistically speaking) gives a shit about "review sites, products services, give business advice, tips, tricks". if you wanna be a business journalist, maybe its a better option to work for the wsj rather than try to compete with little old news corp..i know, radical thinking

there is no quality market demand for the kind of content you want to sell

Absolutely true. Original and innovative/cocky content always does it for me. And I cringe when people say 'Write about what you love'. Designers love photoshop, the succesful ones dont write about how much fun it is - they target the widest market they can find and give tutorials upon popular subjects. Tom was a programmer. He didn't just program, he didnt code software, he didnt create websites for programmers, he created myspace. He found a niche in the market and targeted the largest possible market he could with innovation and seamless coding. He's a multi-millionnaire. Dont assume everyone will find your content useful, always direct your content to a larger market.
I'd personally rather learn how mice reproduce on the discovery channel than read your another business bog (and that's saying something, I've just switched passed it).

the site would be similar to guykawasaki.com or jhonchow.com they make LOTS of money every month. The site would basically make interesting articles about anything related to business, money, thechnology....you know how them blogs work.

What do you get in return for working with team doughstreet? Well nothing for now, because the site isnt generating any traffic, or pumping in money. We are starting this blog from scratch. If we succeed we all will make money. All profit will be distributed equally...50/50

There is many blogs out there, we will try everything in our power to create a very unique blog in order to stand out in the blogging community.

    Plan is simple...
    -Update regularly
    -interact with visitors/build a relationship
    -provide great original content
-keep the site neat, and easy to use

Competition? Well, yeah. There is always competition, But I think there is still room for us. We just have to do it right in order to succeed, its as simple as that.

den..either way, i'm here to be supportive of what you do..but you gotta look at our needs as well...we're sitting here, completely sober, objective and unpolluted by all the dreams, hype and overconfidence..so it really doesn't matter to me what you think in this particular instance, because you're not thinking straight. you're on the hussle on the contrary, it's up to you to ask questions.

...I can tell you that it's not fun to take on the kind of leadership role that you're accepting and set your team on a course to nowhere..I mean, ya know..all these guys you're pitching have lives, girlfriends, wives, car loan repayments - and you're pulling them into a venture that might or might not pay off

be smart, you don't wanna let your team down by selecting a bad opportunity. be critical of the decisions that you're making.

    This is so classic YE.

someone new joins the board - wants to start a 'business' blog
it sounds great in theory, but they have no idea what they really want to do.

then someone slaps reality in them, and they go in denial, and post stupid replies with "Thanks for the 4 people that joined! there is 2 positions available..." in order to boost their self esteem to make it look like they are successful, when they really arent.

Isn't that what most online business ventures end up being? Bullshit and bravado.
