    Lemonade Stand

This just crossed my mind today... Has anyone here ever had a lemonade stand be VERY profiable? Like, anyone know of the game Lemonade Tycoon? Do you think it would be possible for someone to have a business empire based off of their lemonade stands? Has anyone ever tried this?

I can't personally say that I've had a lemonade stand but I do believe you could base a business off of it. Many businesses nowadays start off small and gradually expand - so I can easily say that it's possible.

Yes, I have heard of the game Lemonade Tycoon and do remember playing it when I was pretty young like around 12. I have done Lemonade stands since I was 8, I have done maybe about 10 over a course of about 4 years. I am 16 now. They are not profitable if you do it from your house, but if you can do it in a prime area on a hot day where a lot of people go shopping and you are organized, have napkins, offer large cups with lids, nice straws and maybe even put in a piece of lemon in the drink itself maybe you can make some good profit...And offer different kinds of drinks I tried Iced Tea Once and it sold great. Best part is the tips, if you are young and are working hard many people just tell you to keep the change. The important part is the principle and what you learn from it. I learned to be innovative and think outside the box. Also, its a fun way to socialize with people. I would remember having stands and calling my friends over for help, at the end I would reward them. Signs are also very important.

I've never heard of anyone doing lemonade stands but one of my good friends in high school started a snow cone business. By the time he had graduated, he had three in prime locations during the summer with about 9 employee's. He was using them to pay for his college.

It might actually be a good marketing "gimmick" that may just attract some customers. A catchy company name and a creatively designed store/stand might just get people talking.

ah yes, im known as Mr.Lemonade in my neighborhood. I have set up three other stands on Gains Street and Hill Ave....Now im rollin in the dough!!! lol jk. But it sounds like a fun idea...

Since its winter I would rather set up 2 hot chocolate stands in 2 populated areas in my city. And start making some $$$ I'd charge 1.50 for a regular sized cup. And use water instead of milk cuz dairy is too expensive straws would be sold seperatly for an extra 50 cents...plus I would buy weird sized cup so they dont fit in they cars cup holder, and therefor would have to buy my special cup holder atachment for 2 dollars...LOL JK...Im a horrible business man....

From a numbers standpoint, you would have to sell a very large volume to make a decent profit. That's not to say it can't be done. Is anyone familiar with Alex's Lemonade?

Yes Richard, I have heard of her stand. An amazing case where a child with cancer was able to make a huge difference in the lives of kids. Unfortunately she lost her battle with cancer but her legacy still lives on.
