    Lack of entrepreneurship

I am an entrepreneur/college student from the beautiful country of Indonesia. I have started several startups, been involved in some franchises, and had a brief stint in MLM. I am really obsessed with entrepreneurship. I, like we all in this forum do, breath-eat-sleep thinking of entrepreneurship. The thing is, there is somewhat a lack of entrepreneurship in my country. I just can't accept that. Therefore, I'm thinking of sharing this passion with others; I wanna make an entrepreneurs club.

if you have had any experience regarding this, please help me. There are several things to note, though:
    1. it canot be internet-based, because of the low internet-connection levels in Indonesia
    2. my campus is technology-based, sort of like MIT in the states. i would like to make this an advantage. you know, so people in the club could capitalize from technological breakthroughs made by non-entrepreneurs. how do i do this?
    3. I'm thinking of making it a place to build networks, are there any guidelines to do this? for example; what the events should be like.
    4. how should the recruitment process be held? and who should join? should i make it a bit 'exclusive'?
    5. any type of advice will be great

I want this club to be able to influence other people to take on the path as an entrepreneur as well as be a place for entrepreneurs to network and share. sorry for the long post, but i hope you all can see my vision and help me out with it. THANKS!

If you want it to be technology-based, yet not Internet-involved, I think you're going to have a bit of trouble.

by technology, i mean, manufacturing technology, biotech, and the sort..we just don't have the access to be in an internet club..

but, technology a side, how does an off-line entrepreneur club really work?

I agree with the lack of entrepreneurship especially into the UK, since tony blaire come to power, entrepreneurship is at a low of 4% of the population, i suppose it can be a good thing for some entrepreneurs, less competition in markets, but still 4% would be nice to talk more about business with people

    Ok, I see.

Well, the joy of it is that it can work in any way you want it to - there are no hard and fast rules. Being a group of entrepreneurs, the opportunity is there to create a unique networking opportunity. So don't look at how other folks do it - instead, look at the needs of the other entrepreneurs, and you guys can hash something out.
