Thumbs up Kidpreneurs - Young Entrepreneurs with BIG ideas!

What’s necessary to become a truly successful young entrepreneur? My Brother Matthew and I, co-founders of YoungEntrepreneur.com, have stayed the course and prevailed in numerous business ventures throughout our entrepreneurial journey. We have learned a lot along the way with several entrepreneurial ups and downs. Together, we’ve consistently taken key steps leading to increasingly profitable paths in the world of Entrepreneurship, but surprisingly enough, it’s actually our early years of business which have inspired our most recent project: a book on entrepreneurship written expressly for children aged 6-13! In this new book,we bring a candid, yet illuminative perspective to doing business in this very entrepreneurial world we live in.

There’s no need to be an adult to be driven towards an entrepreneurial dream, and there’s certainly no reason to wait until becoming an adult to learn – or at the very least to try out, the fundamental principles of business. It’s never too early to get started! We invariably give our family the credit for continually encouraging all our business ideas from a very early age, and because of this incredible support we’ve received, we’re pursuing a means by which we can give back not only to our community, but to the youth around the world – the entrepreneurs of the future, this life-changing encouragement along with the practical knowledge to begin, expand, and succeed beyond their wildest dreams in their future business enterprises.

We have invested several years of our lives researching and collating the very best practices in modern business, with the sole aim of teaching these valuable techniques and insights to others while nurturing our own ever-expanding group of successful businesses. One of our favorite on-going accomplishments has been to assist struggling businesses by donating our time to share pertinent details of our accumulated understanding and know-how of starting, managing and growing successful business ventures. This entrepreneurial know-how, combined with a true passion to empower entrepreneurs, put us on the path over 10 years ago to found YoungEntrepreneur.com, the largest and most comprehensive social networking forum for entrepreneurs.

The Kidpreneurs book encourages a child’s desire to become involved with business early on by stoking their curiosity in uncomplicated, interesting and creative ways. It distills the complex concepts into the practical, creative, and ethical aspects of today’s business world; and with clear and expressive language, it conveys the crucial facts of modern business by using bright colorful illustrations, thought-provoking facts, exciting quizzes, and a variety of easy-to-understand sample business plans.

The fundamental philosophy that runs like a red thread throughout this book is simple: The future of our children, and all future generations for that matter, begins with us! Children of all walks of life have the right to have access to the skills and tools by which they might someday – through their own hard work and perseverance, obtain financial freedom.

If you’d like to begin an exhilarating business journey with your young children, or know of anyone that would appreciate this as a gift: order a copy of Kidpreneurs today!

We'd like to get this in the hands of as many children as possible! If you’d like a particular copy signed or dedicated, please use the contact form located here (just mention you know us from YoungEntrepreneur.com) Contact | KIDPRENEURS and just let us know!

If you personally know anybody with children 6-13 years old, Kidpreneurs would make an excellent gift – one which just keeps on giving! Please help us to tell others (via Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Digg, Stumble Upon, Your Blog etc) as now is the time to provide the leaders of tomorrow with the Entrepreneurial skills and know-how that’s available today!

If you do take the time to 'tweet' about us on twitter, mention us on facebook, your blog etc. Please let us know on this forum post so we can personally thank you!

    CalebHQ,

Great to hear and thanks for your reply!
The Kidpreneurs book thus far has been extremely rewarding for my brother and I as we have had the opportunity to speak in front of many of the 'entrepreneurs of tomorrow' at elementary schools and various organizations. We are always excited to see the enthusiasm and creativeness in the kids these days! They have so many questions along with so many ideas!

Yes, our grandfather was a big part of our early days of Entrepreneurship and we learned quite a bit from him as he really instilled the "work hard and work smart lessons" that we still utilize daily in our current businesses.

There are several entrepreneurs that we have had the pleasure of meeting in the past that we absolutely enjoyed meeting and learning from. Most recently (a couple of weeks ago) we sat down with Tim Ferris (author of the 4 hour work week) as he shared some great tips for Entrepreneurs with us.

Someone we have not yet met in person but we admire quite a bit is Richard Branson. Part of being a good leader, according to Branson, is also the ability to know when to back away from a task. “As much as you need a strong personality to build a business from scratch, you also must understand the art of delegation,” he says. “I have to be good at helping people run the individual businesses, and I have to be willing to step back. The company must be set up so it can continue without me.”

Another great friend of mine and Superb Self Made Entrepreneur is Yanik Silver; Yanik is a serial Internet entrepreneur and self-made millionaire. He is recognized as one of the leading experts on web marketing even though he still considers himself a ‘techno dunce’. Starting from his one-bedroom apartment and with just a few hundred dollars, Yanik has personally sold over $13,000,000.00 online and counting (with zero employees except his wife, Missy).
I asked Yanik earlier this year: What three pieces of advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?

He mentioned: 1. Quit screwing around with ‘busy-work’ that you gives you the illusion of doing work. i.e. Instant Messenger, Facebook, Twitter. I love Twitter – but I’m not on it except for specific times.

    2. Do just one proactive thing a day. That’s it. Do not go to bed until you’ve taken even one baby step forward in your business.

    3. Take action (as simple and cliche as that sounds). Your ‘real success’ typically comes from moving towards what you think is your goal. But along the way – you’ll discover a detour to your true success.

Thanks again for the great comment and as I mentioned above, we'd like to get this in the hands of as many children & parents as possible! Thanks for your support!

    Kidpreneurs

    Hi Adam

I just want to thank you and your brother Matthew for building YoungEntrepreneur.com! I have just recently joined and already met some great people that have assisted me with certain facets of my business. I wish I had the book Kidpreneurs when I was growing up because it would have made my decisions in my life a lot clearer and could have helped answer many of my early entrepreneurial questions.
Congratulations on receiving Worldwide BestSeller Quality!

I have placed my order to receive 20 books 30 minutes ago, I will be donating these books to a great organization that assists kids in foster homes to receive a great education.

Keep up the great work guys!

Talking Best Kid's Business Book Ever

No doubt the book was written by someone with kids. You could feel it in the tone. I give it 2 thumbs up and as soon as Amazon opens up my ability to rate it - it will get 5 stars too. Thanks and FYI I purchased 3 of them to use as gifts.

Ya know....when I was a kid I always went to Catholic school. I'm 45 now so that was a while ago but back then they FORCED you to sell minimums or your parents would be billed the extra on tuition.

I was made to sell candles, Christmas decorations, chance books, candy....stuff all year long. I hit the streets to sell this crap by age 8 in NYC and Yonkers,NY.

Maybe by 10 yrs old I started shining shoes, putting out flyers on windshields, carrying groceries for tips, shoveling snows and paper routes.

Many years later in my biggest entrepreneural feat I received free publicity on my invention around the world, got sales around the world with a start up cost of maybe $500 after patent expenses. I never had much money to start a business since I've been fighting cancer pretty much constantly for 23 years now.

I really and truly contribute my success to one thing. Those priests and nuns making us sell all that garbage at such a young age. Sales I think became in my blood and something I love because it was something I knew first.

This is why I truly understand your book and can appreciate your efforts taking the time to teach the kids.
