Just received a letter in the mail from Entrepreneur Magazine.

This letter was regarding a "free breakfast" business seminar with some local CEO at the "Glenpoint Mariot" (hotel near by)

Now, the magazine assumed I was an adult. I am only 17, but I look about 20.

    Will they let me in?

Sweet. It's just breakfast they probably aren't serving alchohol but maybe they are trying to get attendees to buy something. I would check it out.

I was around 20 when I went to my first 'free', "business" "success" seminar. This guy showed his powerpoint presentation on his laptop -- and proceeded to talk up his software for the next hour and a half. "I'll take questions at the end." ... Apparently he meant: "I'll take questions AFTER I get these poor non-english speaking saps to cough up over $500 for this software...if you can catch me before I split."

    It was a learning experience.

Maybe when you go there - pay attention to the entire event from the perspective of:

"Ok - what strategies are they using to get sales? How are they ordering their whole presentation? What keywords are they repeating? What tools are they using to juice up the audience's emotions?"

A basketball coach doesn't watch a game the same way that a player does. Be the coach looking for how the plays are being run and what everyone's position is. Peak behind the curtain and you can actually get some good info that way.

    Enjoy.
    Good Luck.
P.S. Leave all money and identification at home.

I don't see why they won't let you in. I'm in my 20s and teen entrepreneurs are an inspiration. Just wear something decent enough so you'll be taken seriously.

All the best & have fun~!
