Just finished my exam, need to know this anwser :)

Ok just finished my exam, and it asked the question of

'what are the impacts of company xxx implementing major technoliogical change

company xxx was a glass and frame manufacture (for glasses)

    i put things down like,
    CAD/CAM
    robotics
    mass production
    communication - video confrencing
billing fuctions on the PC for administration
easy cash flow creation on spead sheets

and i talked about training workers to use the machinery and costs of implementing it etc

would you suggest this to be correct?

Wouldn't an impact be a reduction in costs, higher quality, etc...?

I'm sorry to tell you this, but you got it all wrong. What you listed were methods for implementing new technologies (and new technologies themselves). Instead, what they were looking for was how the company would be impacted upon the introduction of new technologies into the business.

hmm, i did say there be high start up costs, and make it easier for the business etc, retrainging staff would be a problem, the time lost training staff, somaybe ill get some marks for them, i did also put CAD/ CAM, robotics etc, which maybe wrong,

but will i get the marks for the retraining etc...

Your point about having to retrain staff is correct. They may also react negatively to change.

What exam were you doing/what level?

They may also react negatively to change
