Just An Idea!! Your suggestion Please.

Hi i have an idea that i am not sure if it would work. I am planning to have a gaming site lets say pool that would have a point system built in it. So when someone plays would win a point or loose a point. I would get donors to donate the prizes since they would also drive traffic to their site by having the players view the prizes through their website. How would i be able to make money? You think i should charge like a dollar to play the tournament to win big prizes will you do it ? I mean thats after the site gain some traffic and popularity. Another thing i am thinking maybe get some revenue through ads on the site not sure how that would work. Thinking to give prizes for top 3 to start with then top 5 depending on the prizes.

I would try to advertise on social networking sites and other forums. What are the best way to advertise the site?

Please i need some answers not sure if this would work. Let me know.

Honestly, the idea sounds like gambling if it's pay to play - which would make it illegal.

Ok What if it was free then. How would i make money out of it? Just don't want to give away prizes and not make any money to maintain the site. Please let me know. Do you think its a good idea?

If it is free, then you can just follow other gaming sites.

I think you can make money from advertising, selling new games, cheat code manuals, membership etc
