    1. Get a truck big enough to eliminate multiple trips to and from the dump for your average customer
    2. Negotiate rates and the dump/recycling center
    3. Do everything you can do pick up customers' junk on the same day they call you.

    The advice I would give is be willing to not only do the manual labor associated with junk removal, but you will also will have to work in your "off time" to take care of the necessary paperwork and bookkeeping to keep your business legitimate. For the first couple years, even though you may keep hours for your customers, you will always be on the clock! Good luck!

    Regarding the aforementioned SEO, which is another truly competitive business, if you want to own a thriving small business in today's market you have to step into the future. Even with a business like mine, junk removal in Indianapolis, you have to do more than just the actual job, you have to learn about internet marketing and use it effectively.
