Well, I want to get the most out of my money, and I want to find a product that will sell very well, so anything with a low cost, and something that costs a lot her e that I could resell and of course profit from, so basically; something with big margins.

Dmoney, I like your thinking and ambition. If you keep developing yourself, you'll be ten times the entrepreneur than most will ever be.
Having said that, there are thousands of opportunities that relate to this whole foreign production deal. IT CAN BE DONE.
I like how many individuals like to talk about all the problems; it would almost make me guess that many people don't know what they're talking about and that most people don't know what it's like to rigorously think through a problem and formulate solutions. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. That's pretty close to the truth.
Now, back to the topic: I don't know much about this, and like I said above, most others don't either. Your best bet is to find someone that does. You need to find some solid contacts that are willing to work through some of these ideas. Perhaps, see if SAMG knows anybody or if he/she is willing to point you in the right direction.
However, my biggest advice is to commit to SOMETHING. Spend a couple weeks learning exactly what an opportunity is... what your gross margins need to be, market size, durability, etc. (Buy Jeffery Timmons New Venture Creation 6th edition). From there, simply dedicate, say, a year to finding the right opportunity. Keep your eyes open; evaulate everything. Eventually you'll have so many huge opportunities that you'll have a tough time choosing which one you want to do; (I have hundreds of ideas, however, I'm going to pursue them all). Fortunately, you won't have to spend a year doing this, but if you set out to do so, you're patience will open up bigger doors that you wouldn't have seen otherwise.
That said, I'm not sure this one is for you but only you can decide that.

hi DrMoney
coming from asia (Indonesia to be precise) i know that there are lots of places that produce goods cheaper then thailand. vietnam and Indonesia some examples. i'll talk to you about indonesia, since that is where i come from.
if you are looking for jewellary, indonesia has pearl, gold and silver center. it's handicrafts are also well known all over the world. if you look up a brand called 'The Sak', you will find a luxury brand that produces arts and crafts from indonesia. i happen to know because my friend is the owner.
Indonesia also has other traditional produce that will sell at a high price in western countries, and they are CHEAP to buy. that is, if you are a local. see, don't come in as a foreigner, people will rip your wallet apart (although it will still be cheaper then other places).my advice: go with a native.
there are many ways to locate one; try the local entrepreneur association and they will be pleased to do business with you.
if you want to know about anything, i'll be happy to lend a hand
goodluck
btw, what part of the US are you in? i lived in Ithaca, New York for about 5.5 years.
