    Job Title-Help!?

I saved a clip from some review on Amazon, when I was looking at a business book review (I was looking at a ton of business related books that day and I had copied and pasted a lot of reviews in a word document)

My document is gone, and no I cannot retrieve it.

I was curious if someone could help me identify a job title for a certain occupation as it seemed interesting to me and I wanted to look into it further, however like I said, I cannot find that review where he mentioned it as his occupation.

Now it was awhile since I read it so please forgive me for the bare details....

It sounded like someone who has studied or understands how workers are effected as well as how they deal with their workplace environment, and just office/workplace life in general. This sounds psychology based but from the way he had explained it, it seemed more like a business consultation type of thing.

This is one of those things where if you throw out the right job title I will know it when I see it.

    Thank you in advance.

I know the exact job you are talking about. I had an uncle who has a doctorate in psychology and worked for Microsoft to help develop their work space environments. But I forget what the specific job title he had. I know it was a pretty decent pay, for a job (in the millions, plus a $12 million severance package when they didn't need him anymore)

Hmm well I found part of the message the rest was clipped off or something.

I purchased The Business of Consulting shortly after its publication. It has been a Godsend! Like most consultants, I'm an expert in my chosen area of consultation, which happens to be human behavior in the workplace. However, I found myself in desperate need of step-by-step guidance when it came to establishing and doing business. Your book and Alan Weiss's, Million Dollar Consulting, have become the Old and New Testaments of my Business Bible.
I established my consulting firm late last year. After reading several books on how to start a consulting practice, I found The Business of Consulting to be the most helpful

    ----

So does this indeed mean a degree in psychology. How would one go about becoming an expert in this area?

No idea why but I am interested in this profession, not so much for myself but just generally.

You could do some research on "organizational behavior." That's more of a subject/topic than a job title, but it might point you towards some more good info.

It has A LOT to do with psychology.
