Yes, you can make money on the internet. Here is a short, easy blueprint:

1)Pick a niche or topic that is searched for often, but not too competitive.

2)Find 10 to 15 long-tail keywords that are good, with less than 20,000 competing sites when you key the phrase into Google with "quotes"

3)Set up a blog, using those keywords in your posts occasionally. Make your content compelling, so people will stay

4)Put Google adsense or links to related affiliate products on your blog

5)Write articles optimizing your chosen keywords, and submit to Ezine Articles, with a link to your blog in the resource box

6)Build a Squidoo lens and Hubpage using the same long-tail keywords, and link to your blog. Also write a few articles linking to your lens and hub, to help them rank better.

Start making sales! Pick a new niche, and repeat.

Simple plan, and it works. You won't get rich, but you can easily make hundreds per month while learning the more complex aspects of internet marketing.
