Is there a way to find out how well a company/store is doing?

is there a site on the internet that can tell you if a business is doing good? their profits/turnover? etc

If it's a publicly traded company, you can see it on their 10K filings with the SEC and read the MD&A for analysis; then you can calculate those ratios on your own. However, for private companies, other than employee/management interviews, you probably won't have much luck. If you want to make a loan to them, you will be able to get financial statements though.

Why do you want to know?
