Is the Pool Service industry really recession proof?

Hi guys, I am currently looking at a pool service for sale and am told that they do not take a bad hit in the economy's downturn. Anybody have experience with them? Are there better service industries to get into right now?

To your question regarding the industry being resession proof:
That depends on what side your looking at. The to-your-door pool service probably takes a hit as its not really that hard for people to do it themselves. But for the pool supply supplier, people will probably not let their multi-thousand dollar investment go into disrepair if they can help it.
