Is the Long Tail Keyword Dead? Google Instant Killed it!

So I've been doing a little reading about Google Instant and I've been testing it out on the search engine today and I have to say this bothers me a little bit. This new feature if adopted by searchers would really kill the value of long tail keywords.

I've written some info about this and given an example of what I'm talking about. Take a look at my post : Google Instant kills the Long Tail Keyword

It's hard to stay a step ahead of Google. Any ideas on how to combat this change?

That didn't even cross my mind. But now that I think about it, that is most likely true. I've been finding reasonable results halfway into typing my search and clicked on one of those results. I used to make searches that were 7/8 words long, but I've been finding that I've been using a lot of 2/3/4 word searches lately. Definitely something to research and look into.

So you're not the only one. I'm doing the same thing. Damn... this isn't a complete game changer but it does effect how I launch a new site. It is going to make it harder for the little guy to get their site to rank for anything that beings traffic. Hmmmm...
