Is terabyte drives becoming stardard soon?

From a trip I took to my local electronic store, I noticed a a few boxes of terabyte drives being sold for about $800.

Is this becoming the new standard or Am I too late on this one?

I think they must be new in local electronic stores but you could buy them online for months now.

There was a new hard drive technology out which is 12.8 million gb in 1 cm2, and its all based on amazing water
