Don't see why not. You can sell anything you like in this world (providing it complies with law of course )

You might want to check the T&Cs that facebook have in place to see what they say about it. But if you get the go ahead, stick it on eBay or where ever and see how it goes.

Usually selling a customer base (which is what a group really is) leaves the seller better off than the buyer. Whilst people sell forums, it's not always a given that the forum members will be happy with the change of hands and they may move on, leaving the buyer with a dead forum and out of pocket.

I've heard of a few people selling groups with millions of members for a few thousand dollars, but I'm not sure how you'd go about doing this, or if your even technically allowed to do it.

I would think you could it has value , i don't see a personal facebook having much value but if you were selling a interest group or something i can see it having some value.

I think you can list the Facebook Groups you have over at some of those popular webmaster forums like SitePoint or DigitalPoint. As for the technical side, I think you need the buyers profile and set him as the new admin. That's it.

I am going to say no on this one. Just groups are free, why would anyone buy one? Just my advice, but if you can do it, go for it!

because if the group is targetd enough then it could possibly be use for marketing although on the other hand if i stared getting spam all of a sudden i would leave the group so its a slippery slope imo

I've heard of it, so I'm sure it's possible. That's about as far as my knowledge goes on this subject.
