Is it just me or......(?)

Is it just me or......(?)....does it seem like, compared to the amount of users I always see online here, that really not many people participate in threads? I always see the number of users around 280-300, and, for the number of members, I'd just expect threads to get quite lengthy with insightful conversation........I mean, it's not like it's THAT bad......just could be a little better with participation......

I do tend to agree with you that a lot of threads are very short lived. But, a lot of the threads are also pretty simple (or frequently pointless/worthless.) I'd really like to see more thought provoking threads being started (which I will also be trying to do) rather than just the same old "review my site" or "how much does it cost to incorporate" type things. I'm still amazed that people don't seem to understand the benefit of the search feature of this site.

If I could have the attention of all those members/visitors that do not know about (or for some reason don't like to use) the search feature of YE, it is located in the top navigation bar under "Search". Use it. It is very helpful. Oh, and try using it before posting; not quite as helpful to the rest of us if you only use it after posting your question that has already been answered in a dozen other threads already.
