    Is Google Adwords worth it?

I'm thinking about using Google Adwords.

I don't have much money to spend on it at the moment, so I was thinking of a trial of about £50 ($85).

Has anyone got experience with using Adwords that would be able to say whether this is a waste of time, or if it is worth it?

Ok... this is a very hard question to answer.

I make about 50% of my money through adwords. So it can be really, really effective.

However, if you don't know what you are doing you could be throwing money down the drain.

It ultimately depends on where you are sending the traffic, what you want the traffic to do, and how you will be making money off the traffic.

For example if you spend $100 dollars on traffic and get 250 visitors to your website, do you think you could make $100 off 250 people to cover your costs?

To be able to give more help, please provide the url for the page of which you would be sending traffic.

ok, if that was my website, I would not send traffic to it.

It isn't a bad site, but it just needs a few tweaks before it would be ready.

The main thing is that you need some sort of headline. People need to know what to do, what your offering and what is in it for them.

I don't know what your website actually does, but it looks like it connects contractors with clients.

So if you were sending adwords traffic to get more contractors in your directory a headline like:

" If you are a contractor in the UK and need more work.....

.... Sign up to our directory absolutely free and finally get noticed my the people that matter, the customers"

With a headline like that your traffic from Adwords would know exactly what you are offering, and would know what to do next, sign up.

I would love to give you a free 15 minute consultation over Skype, I could ask you a few questions and give you a few strategies to make sure you get the most out of your website.

If you would be interested, just send me a message.

It all depends how you optimise your campaign. If you put all for Google to optimise, you could loose your 50 within few days without any results. So, first plan your campaign:
    1. What is my campaign objective.
    2. How well the landing page converts visitors.
    3. How much one visitor is worth for me.
    4. What kind of searches could bring me most targeted audience.
    5. What my competitors are bidding on those, can I afford to bid same or not
    6. Which sites in Ad Network have visitors I want to have.
    7. etc.
Most stupid thing to do is to spend 50 and with a question "Let's see, do we have some sales or not"
