Is Entreprenuer Born or Made?

Throughout of many of these postings, I read about who and who wants to become an entrepreneur. The word seems so misused these days. It's like someone saying; "I'm a rapper, and almost every kid you see on the street says they're rappers, models or actors (in NYC and Hollywood)."

So, what's an entrepreneur? And, what does it mean to being an entrepreneur and a successful entrepreneur?

What are the ingredients of becoming or being an entrepreneur? And, is Entrepreneur born or made?

Excuse the grammar or typos, it's late and I don't want to do spell checker.

But I just get tired of these misused words sometimes, gooooooooooosh...!

i say a visionary is made, you can learn how to make money, but you cannot learn how to create ideas...they come to me, i can learn from school and research on business, not on ideas

for me.. the entrepreneur is made.. sometimes.. the environment around you..push you to become creative and start earn money

You can learn to create ideas. The majority of the work has to be done on the student's end, but someone can help unlock their thought process. The ideas will belong to the student, but their ideas can be improved by learning strategies for brainstorming or what have you.

Think of a musician. Their teacher doesn't play their instrument for them, they can only teach them so much, but 100% of the work has to be done by the student. Their teacher just corrects them, gives tips, strategies and is basically a mentor or a guide.

As far as born or made....
As lame as this sounds, this fall under the nature vs. nuture debate. People really develop their desires through their genes and their enviroments. I have always been a creative person, and have been bored with my environment. I hate conforming - and besides wanting a stable life - I really want to avoid falling into a 9-5 job.

Based on your attributes and desires, you seek what matters most. Some seek what is easy and safe, some want challenges, some want huge payoffs.

how can you learn how to create ideas? your born with the ability to see things others cannot..maybe imw rong..but thats how i see it...i see regular people doin 9-5 because they cannot think like i do. i strive not to do 9-5 so i keep thinking and thinking....

you are born with the ability to create, you are made into someone who can make money via college or research, but the idea itself comes from the gift of vision

thats my stand....i create ideas, but now i need to be made into a businessman

In my opinion, sometimes you've just got to have the guts to go out there and do something, make money, work hard..all that kinda stuff, maybe there are born Entrepreneurs, but I guess they can be made too..if the person develops the right attitude, and the will to win.

i think a entrepreneur is made, you can always learn new skills, and you develop over time, look at many celebrities, 'paris hilton' for example, do you think she was born to be an entrepreneur, she just had the money and made more money from ideas, (may not be original) but still....

and theres many ex sports men out there making money through business

I'm not a fan of the Paris Hilton method of success (:P) she pretty much got everything given to her, and cried when she went to prison for...what was it, 2 days? a week? I hate the whole bubblegum-pop teenybopper image she clings onto, I think true wealth has to be earned.

I think a visionary or an entrepreneur is something that can be made. The main thing I have noticed is that people just need to be motivated in order to be an actual entrepreneur. That way they can do whatever they really want.

for me it is made, with the right knowledge, passion and those who take risk can attain success.

I think it's 50/50!
Some people are born that way, maybe due to enviroment/ parents etc. Others are made, maybe through training and the desire for something better out of life.

Well yeah i've always been interested in getting something out of life, always gotta be doing something constructive..always been interested in "powerful people" always had this lust for greater things..

I'm probably just insane.
