Check out the Go Big Network (www.gobignetwork.com). It is a network of small businesses looking for investors. VC's, angels and loans are some of their offerings.

devin, this is gonna sound weird, but this is how it is:

how question has been covered so many times that it's just gonna be frustrating for me to have to cover it again

I know, I know - not your fault - you just joined

Just do a search in the "looking for investors" part of the forum and you'll have all the answers to your questions

if you still can't find anything - or have a clear understanding of what you should do to solve your financing problem, do a post and I'll try to cover the issues

some recent threads:

Interested in Opening a Strip Club in New York
starts off stupid (thanks to yours truely) but turns into a good discussion about risk preferences and familiarity bias.

the point: it tells you where to look for funding relevant to your particular kind of business, and where not to look

Looking for partners/investors (Highquality design studio)
similar to the thread above, exploring the stupidity of trying to find "investors" on the internet

The point: Asks you to consider "what is an investor" and ditch the word. An "investor" is not some mythical, benevolent entity. It's a person, who has needs, fears, and responsibilities to his/her spouce and business partners. They are typically a retired executive, who has worked in your industry, and is at a stage in their career where they want to be a mentor and leave a legacy.

In other words, these contextual considerations will help you define where, and to whom, and how you should be pitching your opportunity for maximum results
