Investing in Start-Ups or Business Growth?

I have recently begun to invest money into other people ventures, so far have invested into 3 projects and thought I would ask anyone else that is keen on investing into new start-up business or growing businesses to contact me.

There have been some ventures I have liked and some I have not, the ones I have not been so keen on does not mean they are bad ideas etc... So maybe I could forward these potential investments onto you?

I think it would be nice to be able to guide these rejected investments onto other people or places on investment.

    Hi Mark,

Feel free to forward any potential investments to me: josh@joshuasaunders.net

However, please don't send me anything related to internet marketing, web hosting, or any other over-saturated, high-risk, non-unique opporunities.

    Thanks,
    Josh

    ok, Josh will do.

would you be interested in possible joint investments when the investment is higher?

Are you a silent investor, or like to help out on the ventures?

It would depend what the investments are.
Typically, if the company/person/management is very experienced and it is in a field I am not very familiar with, then I will be silent.
If I am investing in a company that I think could use some help and advice, then I would be more hands-on.

At the moment, I have a lot of current investments and am very busy being a part of a new business launch, so I would prefer to be more of a silent parter and to serve more as a mentor. But that doesn't mean I am restricting myself to this should the right opportunity arise.

This is an area that I am also interested in.

I am looking to make smallish investments in start-ups at the moment, but hopefully in the future I should have sufficient resources to consider other opportunities.

I am not against being hands-on with a company but as I am very inexperienced, I would be looking to play perhaps a background role in order to gain some experience.
