Ha I'm new to all this so this MLM or whatever sounds to me like a Jim Rohn cult: don't chase the birds! HAHA sorry i've just never been a fan of these self-help organizations like AMWAY or whatever the heck MLM is...they all sound like late-night infomercials to my young ears. I've seen how these things make you believe you are your own boss while you are still just another slave in the factory. Make your living that way though I don't care.

This is my 2 cents and they are useless and pointless anyways because this is an illegitimate thread.

If this thread is illegitimate...then why are you reading it and why are you posting replies? You state that you don't like self-help and I fully understand...you probably enjoy help-others...helping your boss pay for his home and car while he/she takes all the credit for you and your co-workers' efforts. You're awesome and I would love to follow your lead.

MLM is not for everyone. It's not for people who want the security of a job and the so-called perks that are really just dangling carrots...and it's not for people who want to be a slave of their business...60-80+ hours a week driving a Lexus or Mercedes to and from work while nanny raises the children...how cool is that?

For those MLMers out there that have found a way to earn a decent income working part time out of your home...more power to you!

Before trash talking the MLM industry...you may want to check out stats from Corporate America and certain things people lose money on. Check the stats...numbers don't lie.

Where people lost the most money in 2001 (find the stats, they're out there):

1. Stock Market (gambling but brainwashed to think it’s investing)
2. Casinos (gambling)
3. Lottery (gambling)
4. Pyramid Schemes

Hey...I don’t hear anyone calling casinos and the lottery a scam. What about the stock market?

The worst part is...the pharmaceutical companies (legal drug dealers) are somewhere up there with the casinos and lottery categories. Do you really want to sit here and talk trash about MLM? Check out the job market today. Check out where all your friends and family are losing their money. Look at gas prices my friend. Keep on being a pessimist and down talking the best industry that can free man kind from this financial ruin. Those of you who hate MLM either don't know how to do it right (maybe you’re new, maybe you don’t have the right support system, or maybe you just have no desire to learn) or you just flat out suck at marketing it!!!

forgot to add...suck at doing the proper research as well. Who you take your advice from makes a big difference. Most people who trash talk our industry never even took the time see the views from the other side. At one point, I didn't care much for MLM because of what I experienced right out of high school. Fortunately for me, I did some research about the industry...was curious to know why so many people called MLM a scheme yet so many millions of people have no problem being involved with MLM.

Tim Sales did an excellent job teaching me what MLM really is when he came out with the Brilliant Compensation Online Video. And now he has www.FirstClassMLM.com. It's a great tool to use to educate your organization about Network Marketing. His trainings are very thorough and make more sense than all the negative comments that I hear from other people regarding MLM. If you haven't purchased Tim Sales' materials, I highly recommend visiting his site at MLM Training, Network Marketing Training Tools for MLM Success By Tim Sales (you can purchase reprints of Robert Kiyosaki's recommendation of MLM out of Success Magazine).

If you'd rather not build income based on OPM...linear income is the way to go. Personally, I would rather earn leveraged income because it wipes out my expenses such as the cost of fuel and other bills like my cell phone. My car does the advertising for me and I get paid to drive because everytime someone logs onto my website and invests in the service or the business opportunity, I get paid!!! I love America and I love free enterprise. Unfortunately...there will always be haters no matter what industry.

We live in America with the freedom to choose what we can do...yet too many people opt for security instead. Hey...if you want to dog an industry like MLM...put some facts and sources on the table. Chances are...you're just getting your information from friends or family...most likely from people who have no clue about MLM that's why they never made any money in this industry. Blame yourself or blame your sponsor...don't blame the industry. If you can't get MLM to work for you...then get specialized knowledge. If you've ever been involved with one...you probably never developed the right skills to acquire customers or sponsor other distributors...that's why it didn't work for you. There are plenty of people who make full time incomes working part time in this industry. They never have to worry about a boss or gridlock traffic...or high gas prices. Your responses are greatly appreciated though!!!

Have a great Father's Day and I hope that one day you do realize the true power of Network Marketing. It's legal and you can't stop it anyway...might as well learn and get involved while a lot of people still hate the industry...but there are also a lot of supporters! I have to admit...it's the anti-MLMers that fuel the fire and give me the raises that pay for my bills. Thanks to anti-MLMers and thanks to supporters...I appreciate you both!!!
