I can see it likely within one year. Doesn't Myspace and Facebook offer this feature as well?

Many of my friends use this to pick their classes. The benfit is that there are so many teachers teaching the same class that your grade can really be dteremined by the teacher and their style.

For example: If I am taking Cultures of Ancient Mexico and two teachers are teaching it. One could be a total stiff and grade very harshly and the other could be a more relaxed grader. So students will come here and see what type of styles and graders these teachers are from past students.

Very Very useful information.

The advertising Revenue on a site like this one would be excellent because its already defined its target audience... "Students", put the ads up, get mechanical and statistical and those profits rise...

If they are willing to sell it... the site going for a tidy sum

Interesting to see how some young people saw the potential but the original owners didn't. I wonder if they also bought ratemyteacher.com?

ratemyteacher.com is in their main menu if you go onto the site.

This will def get bought out. But if those 23 year olds that bought it are smart, they will wait until they get top dollar, because it has a lot of potential. I know if I bought it, I would make it so before the semester starts you can look for teachers at your school, then once you get the teachers go back on the site and swap books with students...

Facebook doesn't. I'm not sure about MySpace.

I actually never used this while in college and neither did many of my friends. The focus when I scheduled classes were always on getting the classes I wanted at the times I wanted.

With professors constantly changing as well, a lot of this data can be out dated. In addition their traffic is obviously very seasonal and inconsistent. I think one of the few places their info comes in handy is for freshman or sophmores who are taking the most basic classes at large universities. Those classes have 4 or 5 different professors with a lot of time slots. At the same time those professors constantly change and freshman and sophmores are the lowest on the todem pole when it comes time to selecting classes (therefore don't have much of a choice).

I think the potential of the site is also limited because this doesn't really come in handy for smaller schools that don't have a lot of course selection.

I agree with bbalfour. I have tried using the site a couple of times and I go to a Big 10 school. It is not easy. Professors come and go, many classes don't have professors decided till well after course selection and their information is not as updated as I would like.
I still do stop by once every semester, so twice a year. But I don't expect much from it. Just to see if any of my professors have TERRIBLE reviews.

I have realised a major flaw in this if it is not already know, some teachers may get on with others who haven't posted on the site and the people who have posted the teacher might not get along with or vice-versa.

This could make the information like people have mention incorrect and out-of-date.
