    Inspire Us...What have you done?

What and how have you achived something that you were not able to do before. This can be anything...not neccessarly about business.

A while back, I started working as a cashier in a fast food restaurant. Being shy, I had a hard time interacting with people and even asking them for the money was a struggle. I always was thinking what others would think. I felt inferior. This job felt unnatural for me.

After a month, I got used to it. The job wouldn't bother me much. I looked at the other empolyees and learned from them and how they were more natural with this job. I learned that there are good customer and bad customers. There are customers who think that they can command you beacuse they pay for the food. I learned how to deal with these people. I got to know that words can be powerful, and being silent can crush you. I learned that you have to be hard with certain customers because if you are not it might cost you more than you would earn. I put a smile on, observed what kind of customer they were and acted accordingly.

Meanwhile, when I go to this place I feel like I am King. I am superior. No fear, no nothing. I joke with customers. I speak to them. I feel professional in what I do.

Lesson of this story: Even if you think something is extremely hard for you to achieve. Something you have always been strugling with. If you practise day in day out, you will soon laugh at yourself for not having done something against it earlier. Why have you put up with so much shit?

What have you overcome and how?

That is very true, I use to be that way too. I kind of did it different when I was running my business. I see it as when your fear is bigger than your dream than you'll never do anything to change, but when your dream is bigger than your fear you'll do everything. I overcame some challenge such as how I speak. When I spoke I would sometimes cuss and not all the time like most people. I changed that because my mentor told me he never seen a successful person with a bad mouth.

I have successfully gotten 3 children out of a very bad living situation with their mother abusing them and aided into getting them reunited with their father and grandparents all of which spoil 2 of the children tremendously, as for the 3rd I don't know (it was a child I did not know on a mission trip). another instance is I worked with a woman for 2 weeks and ended up having her daughter live with us and raised her for 3 months when she abandoned her. She ended up having to go back to her family though, so I hope maybe she got to see a normal life for at least the bit of time she was with us. there's other things that I guess would inspire I hope but maybe this is enough. I just always root for the underdog.

Well, i have became very independent for my age. I am 20, and the only things my parents pay for are cell phone and insurances. Not to mention I practically babysit my roomate when it comes to managing the apartment and paying the bills.
