Ink Refill Business

After a search of the site that yeilded very little information about this I've decided to reopen the subject of an ink cartridge/toner refill business. I first became interested in this opportunity after speaking with a friend of my girlfriends that does this for a living. He refills cartidges for many businesses in my hometown, which I might add has a population of around 5-6k. Not a very big town by any means, but he makes good money from it. I live in Fairborn Ohio, and have considered doing this myself. The area is a decent size and has a fairly big corporate office population. I looked throught he yellowpages online and other sources and have yet to find someone who does this in my area. My first question would be; How does one go about gauging the market in an area like mine. Second; Where could I find a good bank of information on the subject? Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a franchise that is strictly ink refilling like you say: Cartridgeworld. I'm noting them, as you can probably ask them how the industry is and what not without buying into it.

Yea I added you on facebook. I also checked out their site, but it's not much help in the way of info for me. I'll have to call. It doesn't sound like they would be interested in educating me and creating a potential competitor.

I have the domain name AftermarketInk.com. I'm currently not using it right now so I can direct it to your hosting at no cost.

I'm pretty green to most of the online end of starting up. I'm guessing that if I were to get a host for instance, godaddy, I could use his domain for free? I'd like to see what kind of site I could have through godaddy. Does anyone use them for hosting that could tell me about them?
