jdoc was right about Zoom Media, they basically own the toilet ad market in Canada, especially here in Toronto (the shitty ads are in every other stall that serves the same ironic purpose).

It's not an innovative idea, and there certainly isn't demand from a consumer standpoint to see ads while they're "taking a load off", but it might just be your local market that has yet to add this form of cluter to your marketing agenda.

I work in the ad biz, but really can't stand ads; I've gotta bit of Howard Gossage in me. I prefer interactive, intriguing, entertainment.

So to somewhat put all of my crap (I'm full of puns today) together, this unoriginal idea reminds of those people you run into at a party every now and then. The close talkers. Why the hell do you have to be in my face to talk to me? Are you near sighted? You stay on the other side of the room and if I think you look interesting or attractive I'll come over there to have a conversation with you; learn a bit more about you, and we'll see where it goes from there. But damnit, get outta my face.

i have seen this idea being used in a few restaurants i have visited but this is still really an untapped area, as not alot of people have ventured into this area and if you capitalise on it now you could be on to a winner but only if you can work out a way to stop the graffiti

It's can be great business.

I own an indoor advertising business in Naples Florida and it can be a great business if run correctly. You may not get wealthy but you can't beat the lifestyle. Your ability to make money depends on your sales skills. I had no sales skills going into it and have consistently read books and talked to succesful advertising sales people to improve my skills. The ads work which makes the business rewarding. Putting ads strictly in college environments will make for lots of maintaince. We put the ads in frames with plexi-glass fronts to lesson the amount of damage. In the higher end locations we put digital LCDs. To keep cost down we cross trade ads between our venues that have our boards. They like the free advertising and it helps not to have to pay rent when the economy goes south.

Thumbs up I think it is a good idea of toliet stall advertising

When I found this topic, I read it from A to Z. It began on 2005-11-1 and stoped on 2008-12-22, what does it mean?

I am working for a lcd advertising player supplier in China, and getting many ideas of my customers. some are with the similar idea, like bathroom or waiting room. And I think there are three benefits of toilet stall advertising.

1.Instead of the paper poster, they asked for video ads, which people could watch the ads and hear the sound. It is much more funny than staring at a paper or even white wall.
2.It saves much of money of advertisers, which would just neet to make videos to play. Moreover, it could also slide pictures.
3.There are many video ads for choice, people could have more fun.

Thanks for your time

Smile Where can I get the aluminum frame for it?

Hi everyone. I've been looking at this media for quite some time and I think it would be a promising media given a prospective and a scalable network. Does anyone know where can I buy the frame? Because as far I know they need a simple locking system inside the aluminum frame to prevent people from vandalizing the ads.

Txlilj, what do you mean by contract holding you back?

I personally feel that we should leave the bathroom alone when it comes to advertising. It may be a good market, I dunno... But what I do know, is that I like taking a shit without being bombarded by ads. It's the last place a man can go to be in peace.

I think this has potnential to be a tremendous opportunity ---IF and its a big if, you ensure that you have the RIGHT kind of advertising in front of the RIGHT kind of people.

It's a great place, especially if you have some sort of call to action that a person who has been drinking might take up immediatly (i.e. phoning an 800 number to recieve a free report, sign up for a newsletter, etc)

I actually have done some work with similar companies doing digital advertising.

I saw some really cool new products that are bathroom mirrors that show the digital add from behind the glass. They are really cool.

If you are interested in the piece or are looking to find another China manufacturer please give me a call.

maybe I can help
