    indian catering van

i have never seen any of these around, especially in the west midlands england, ive spoken to a few guys at a indian restaurant and they all loved the idea.

the basics to it are, like a burger van but selling indian food

what do you think are the pros and cons?

In theory it sounds a good idea and as the good old burger wagon in the UK is a institution but i was thinking why do we not have any curry wagon and i feel it would have to do with the massive wide variety of indian food hence i would think the lack of space in the vehicle,in a burger wagon all you really need is the cooking facilty and rolls and butter and a few other variations like bacon, cheese, and a few others and the same goes for kebabs but with indian food you would have so many variaties. This is just a thought but if you could provide just a few choices you could be onto a winner

yeah i was thinknig of a few select choices, the more common dishes.

One major problem i came up with, is a way to server, the standard foil trays that we use over here conduct heat really bad and would be incredibly hard to hold, is there an alternative that anyone knows of that dosent get so hot its unbearable to hold? maybe the polythene ones like you're given at a chip shop?!

Just had a look and found these polystyrene food containers which would sort out the problem of heat or if they are no good a pair of asbestos gloves
