In house or outsource?

Hey, I'm new to the boards, but I wanted to get your opinion about outsourcing web design. I currently operate my own computer repair/ services business and I currently offer web design to a number of clients. I have a few new clients that want me to design their sites, but i honestly hate making websites. I like hosting websites, updating the websites, but i just hate doing all the design work. I'm thinking about outsourcing the creation of the site to a company in India, in order to free up time for me to work on other things and also save me some $$$. I need to keep web design as a service because it brings me new hosting clients and is an easy way to make money, because it costs me nothing less then time. What are your opinons?

Personally I think its sad how terrible some designers are, in coding and design. Outsourcing to india is a joke. I don't understand why some people design websites and call themself professional designers when their creations are more devastating than anything out there. I give credit to good quality graphic designers and programmers because they were born with a gift to do it, and I laugh at people who aren't as good. I have nothing wrong with someone learning graphic design, but just because you figured out how to use a photoshop filter doesn't give you the right to claim the status as a professional.

Anywho thats my rant but back to the question. I think it is better to oursource web development work for smaller businesses and in house it for larger corporations. If you don't like making websites don't because you probably aren't any good at it. I'm not making any pre-assumtions but usually people that don't like what they do aren't good at it period. Outsource it, then charge a bit more on top and keep the profit. My heavy belief is to PAY for good quality work, not to slack off and pay nothing for crap. Many people on this board have asked about web design services for like pocket change and I see people saying PM me and all I can do is laugh. (Eric i'm sure laughed at that thread too)

But yes, cliffs: inhouse it if you have a big business, out source it if you have a small business.
