    Importing clothes from Vietnam

Hi everyone, I am new here. I am looking for your oppinion about start up a online website that sell clothes/garment. However, I am having trouble of finding a supplier. I know it will be cheaper to import from China, Vietnam than open your own line. So my questions is:

    1) How feasible is this startup? Can it profitable and competive to other competitor such as GAP?
    2) What do you think about importing from these countries?
    3) Is there any suppliers you would recommend me?
    4) Should I focus on a niche or just on any general clothes/designs.

    Thx

    HI-

Clothing is an interesting business. In additional to having good prices, you need to have good branding and good products.

You really don't need original designs, you just need to be a good buyer. If you can find a niche and create a private brand clothing can be a real winner.

Consider attending one of the big trade fairs in China, like the Canton Fair. There will be over 10,000 different factories from all over asia showing all of the products they produce.

If you have a good eye, you can buy great products and add them all to your line.

I will be visiting the clothing fair in early november...if you are interested in joining give me a call 248-341-0715

for one reason, I don't quite like the idea of getting into apparel business. In Singapore, its very saturated. Unless you can distinguish yourself to your competitor, you will never be able to get to the top.

I think the key here is DISTINGUISH
