No prob Gambit - Its what I do! If you don't know about your rights to the article, ask them. Sometimes you can purchase rights to the article if you don't have them already. Also, most publications will allow you to reprint their content (referred to as reprint rights) as long as they are quoted as the source, and a link to their website or their telephone number is listed. So, when you contact the Globe&Mail, ask about what reprint rights you have, and if you can purchase them.
Good Luck!

Oh my gosh, I should have read this first before I sent the e-mail. Basically I just ask them if I can republish the article at smallbizpages.ca if not, what's the ethical way of doing it.
I'm having a huge traffic on my site now and some business submissions.
You should submit your business site so you can have web presence.
The reason why SmallBizpages is powerful because it continues to market the businesses listed in it. So even if they don't go to SmallBizPages, the search engine will still pick them up! cool eh!

A market you might want to target is web site design firms.
Pay a referral from the subscription fee, or offer some kind of incentive, for every client they sign-up.

I am thingking about this and do a little research on it. I would like it to be automated so the web design firm gets their money without bothering me. Do you suggest a software for this?
I looked at http://phpadsnew.com/two/ I heard its one of the best but this is more like a banner ads instead of affiliates.

I have found one (this is the one I am using right now) thats free. They give you a shopping cart with a bolt-on affiliate program, so everything is pretty much integrated right in... And it is remotely hosted, which is good for some and bad for others. It depends on how you look at it. Its at mals-e.com - Great shopping cart, but it doesn't tie in automatically to a payment processor so if you want that you'll have to upgrade.... But its only $6/mo so not bad.
Anyways thats my two cents.

Some of the big companies use Ad Juggler, check it, though it sounds expensive. PHPAdsNew is also very popular aswell. I would just look at hotscripts.com and find a ad script that suits your needs.
