I'm having trouble naming my business, help?

OK, I'm having trouble naming my web design business. I did have a name (LJ Web Design) but it turns out it is already taken, I am going out of my mind trying to think of a name now. I have written down everything I can think of to do with the business, my town, my road, my age...everything basically, and I'm still stuck.

It really annoys me when people post things asking for help with naming because I feel it does have to be something personal, however, on this occasion it seems that something personal just isn't going to work - I don't know why, maybe it is because my surname (Jordan) is highly overused in businesses.

If any of you could help I would really appreciate it, and yes I have searched Google for tips before posting on here - it is a last resort bugging you all with requests like this!

    Thanks,

For starters, names never have to be personal or relate to the business in any way. There are plenty of examples of ridiculous company names that have nothing to do with personal or the business they build that have gone on to be successful. That said, most rules are just general rules of thumbs, not finite laws to follow.

To be honest, you can pick the day you were born, pretend its the June 25th and name it something like 625designs.com and it'd still work. Majority of people who are picky with names are general more on the semantics side than on the brand side.

Check on other possible names, you must have options.
