Post Im 18 and I need business parteners.

Hi I just purchased a Domain Name: www.AdsExpress.org

Im looking for a business partner or partners, we would Share profits 50/50. Im looking for a business partner who wants to help and operate a professional Advertising site. The site would be intended for Big Companys like pepsi, coca-cola, walmart...etc

The sites layout would be similar to an Auction, highest Bidder gets to be ranked number 1 on the site depending in what catagory they are in...etc
( this is just a suggestion, other methods may be used)

I would also like Voulanteers/employees who would like to help creat the web site, make forms, layouts, and everything. All the profits at the begining will go directly to payments to operate the web site, and to pay Hosting and Domain fees, after the Business starts running, we will pay the employers and share the money as a business.

    THIS IS WHAT WE NEED
Im looking for 1 or 2 Business Partners- Experinced/ doesnt have to be Donald Trump but must know how to count money and have good computer skills

Experinced Web Site Developers-not proffesional/must know how to make proffesional looking and operating web sites. Must have a computer...lol

We will obviously need more people later on.

Dont worry, when you work with me you shouldnt feel presured or anything, Im just 18 years old tryin to make some money like the rest of you.. I know that doing this doesnt guarantee success, this will basicly be an experiment, if it works, Great then we get payed, if it doesnt...who cares at least we tryed.

Almost forgot!! This will be ran from computers, we will communicate thru e-mails/msn messenger/blogs etc...Must have internet access, I recommend you have DSL..somethin a little faster. We will set up business hours and everything.

Basicly when you join we will be at the plannig and brain storming stage.

Im looking for Honest people. Must be 18 or older, if your 17 about to become 18 thats fine too.
If you are Interested: Just e-mail me at Denopoly@aol.com and tell me what position you want.

There is a potential to make allot. Im know im thinking too big way to early but thats just so you know what I talking about...

    Its all about Competition..

Lets say I have a Burger King ad on the site...(like I said highest bidder is ranked number one business in the fast food catagory) If McDonalds sees it they would immediatly want to overbid Burger King to take over the number one spot. How high will the bids go...I dont know. We will need sponsors, and some kind of system that would bring and get Advertisers interested in this...Plus whats advertising without people seeing the ads, we will need somekind of way to bring traffic on our site too so people can see the ads...my plan was to have sponsors and to advertise our site with other big websites.

Please if you dont want to join, give me some suggestions, or your opinion on this..

    Hi there

To be honest I don't think this is a viable idea - a bit like the million dollar webpage and the many spin offs since then. For any advertiser to take interest, you'll need to be generating hype and huge amounts of traffic.

Unfortunately this side of it will be extremely hard to generate - as an idea it isn't really unique, and has no real talking points.

Sorry if that's a downer but I don't want you to waste your time.

dont worry I like honest people.

I know what you meant, making an advertising site...big deal there is millions out there. But this one I want to make Unique, I want to advertise on television, sporting events, I guess I would have to make somekind of entertainment on the site too for traffic. I could make a site with business news, investments opportunities. Just a site about money, stocks etc. But the main feature would be this rank advertisements system...That would drive competitors crazy. I wouldn't run this site independent, I would have sponsor like entrepreneur.com perhaps WellsFaro, Im talkin about big bucks here...

I want to make this site respected in the Business world, Im not making a small site for local business's, or something cheap looking.

In my mind it could work if its done right...

denis, I think what you're doing is great

after all, this site is about helping people network

with this in mind, I think it would be a great idea if you posted a thread on "what can I do to attract partners?"

I know you are very excited with this vision in your mind, but I would encourage you to take this advice

    1) you want to be desirable
    2) to be desirable, you must seem inaccessible and intriguing
    3) what you're doing right now is "Here's my spill, I'm desperate for anybody"
    4) what you should be doing is "here's a teaser, if you worthy, I might tell you more".
    5) be serious. serious people are skeptical. this applies to partners. you must focus more on being disinterested in people's applications, rather than being interested.
    6) be presentable. put up a webpage describing the opportunity. link to a podcast. shoot a video and put in on you tube. write a press release. appear professional.
    7) be informative. get a linkedin profile.

Accept this as a fact of life - if you follow these points, you will receive a lot more applications, from much better qualified candidates for this position you got going.

do you understand what I'm saying? think of snobby supermodel. that's how you should appear in your search for a co-founder (i.e. glamorous, alluring, inaccessible, mysterious). anything less, and no one is gonna want to make out with you (sort of speak), or the only guys you get, are the ones no one else wants (sort of speak).

Akula have you looked at the business he's trying to start?

It's great to network but I honestly think it will flop. "I would have sponsor like entrepreneur.com perhaps WellsFargo". These businesses wouldn't do it.

Denis, these big businesses you mention run their advertising through advertising agencies (although I wouldn't be sure about entrepeneur.com). Advertising agencies need to show why they are using a particular medium of advertising - guaranteed exposure, the medium's track record, past advertising success...

Be honest, how would you sell this to an ad agency?

"I have a website that could I want to be a huge black-hole in your advertising budget."

That's the way it's coming across.

I think you need to try to think of some unique ideas like Youtube, Google, or even on a smaller scale, but still unique.

    Hi,

I would have to agree with Newton, only because I have tried what you are attempting. I'm 17, you may not want to listen to me because I am younger, but I understand that, but the only way this will be successful is if you can find a way of gaining huge traffic on a regular basis. Big businesses like Burger king etc, won't pump money into something unless they can see it benefiting their business. But keep going along those lines, soon you'll find the answer to a unique way of advertising. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I can see it burning more of a whole in your pocket, getting the site seen anyway, before you make any profit.

By the way, I have an advertising idea i posted a couple of days ago here, i've made changes to it, since then though. I am starting to get that up and running, maybe you would be interested in taking a look.

    A different idea for advertising

I also know a good web designer, if you want his e-mail just ask.

I think that you guys are taking this alittle out of context. First of all the kid is here trying to do what everybody joined this site to do, be an entrepreneur. There are countless amounts of companies out there that were told they would never succeed in the real world and that nobody would EVER put money into their company. Starbucks sound familiar? The original owners didn't feel like making the company large, they just wanted a small coffee shop that would stay local, the guy with the DREAM of what it could become, is what made it what it is today.
With the right amount of work and determination to succeed, I think this is a very possible business for him. Will it be hard?? ABSOLUTELY! Its a small guy starting a company versus the MANY LARGE ad companies out there! Good Luck though and work as hard as you can to make it happen!

I know this is a risky idea, like I said if its done right it could go good, but the chances are very slim. Im kind of sceptical of this idea too. Thats why I was looking for business partners, because many decisions would have to be taken for a web site like this. I would go crazy if I starterd this myself. We would have to contact many companys, propose business plans, sign contracts, show them benefits...

Dont worry guys, I had some business success before but I also know that not every business will work. I guess I shouldnt go for it since not many people are interested.

Dont worry guys I like honest comments, and I understand why many people dont belive it would work. I have many other great Ideas Im working on, not all of them are on the Internet...hopefully they will work out.LOL

If what your thinking doesn't work out try turning it into something else that is unique that deals with advertising or start up a ppc advertising business.. The logo you have is a good base for the colors of the site and font that should be used. Maybe you can set up a unique auction style ad site of some sort.
