If You Have A Web Idea That Can Start Making Cash Quickly, But Don't Have The Programming Skills to Make It, Please Read

I am going to do something a bit backward here. Usually, you have an "idea" person looking for a developer to build them a web app for equity or something like that. In this case, I am a web developer looking for someone with an idea that needs to be developed.

Here's the catch: I need to be sold on the idea, it must meet the criteria below:

    - The idea needs to be well defined
    - The idea needs to be one that is slated to start earning revenue quickly, on the net (it doesn't have to be a lot of money, just something that can start earning immediately)
    - The idea must demonstrate a satisfactory growth model
    - The person behind the idea must be able to demonstrate success from the past with a similar revenue-generating web concept; either the sole-proprietor, or played a role in the success of the development/execution of it

Also, regarding equity and ownership, I am not one of those that will accept a 50% split for an idea alone. If I were to split 50%, I would expect the person on the other end to put in as much time as I do executing the skill sets I am not strong in or focused on, sales, marketing, content generation, etc.

I am also going to trash any replies that can not respond to the points above. You should have no problem presenting a basic and understandable scope of the idea, how it would make money, and what you've done in the past without an NDA. Clickbank sellers do this all the time. If I like the idea and want to do more, draft an NDA and I will happily sign.

I am not here to steal any "great" ideas because I am only half of the equation to bring success to them. I have tons of great ideas already, just not someone on the other end with the skills, motivation, and persistence to work the other side of the business I don't focus on.

Lastly, I am not willing to do handshake agreements, especially over the net. Any partnership would be professional in nature. That means contracts. They don't have to be complex, I hate complex contracts. But an agreement on paper. And, I am a big risk taker; I have done this many times over, and my will still isn't crushed! I hope you're the same!

Success is in all out futures! Entrepreneurs rock. Look forward to hearing your ideas!

    +1 I'm with you.
I'd love someone to hand me a project that only needs the software developed.

Yep, and that's what it takes to be successful, equal distribution of the work where folks that are expert work within their expertise. Ideas alone do not yield more than 1-5% of the profits when going to companies like Mattel, Johnson&Johnson, or other companies that produce products.
