About LinkBacksI'm trying to get a site indexed & in the top ten in google &
I don't want to waste my time on sites that do not help get a
site ranked.
I know sites like digg,squidoo,hubpages are the major ones
which one would be the best to concentrate on.

Digg, Delicious, Betternetworker.com, Facebook, twitter, youtube heck there are so many lol. pin pointing 6 would have to be built around a certain business plan.
I would highly suggest checking out the SYNND network by charles hefflin if u r looking at saving time, leveraging these networks, and insuring targeting Traffic.

YouTube, Twitter, Blogspot, Wordpress, Hubpages, and Squidoo would be the 6 I'd suggest.
