If you had 1 million pounds to buy a busineses or businesses. how would you spend it? You can buy up and running and or start your own and if you can buy more than one business if there is money left over! Just a random thought i was thinking, i will get back when i have decided on what i would spend it on lol

I would probably end up starting and running at least 10 successful business from scratch which would result in a lot more than that over a relatively short time...

If I had one million dollars to spend on a business, I would....

....use $20,000 of this amount (I always do better boot-strapping), and bank the rest in my high-yield money-market account.

If I had a million i'd be 100% equities. I'd add some to other investment vehicles exposed through ETF's (bond index, REIT index, etc.) to diversify my risk but the majority would be single stocks both North American and International.

I would start another business, something related to IT. The others are for savings and some are for investments.
