You would spend a good deal of time (at least 2 days) narrowing down your target market. Once you have it narrowed down you then need to spend a good deal of time researching the different methods you can use to reach that market. Understand that all of the methods don't cost a fortune so don't spend money if you don't have to. Once you have found out what methods are available then you have to research which ones are going to be most effective. You do this by using the analytical tools provided. For example, if you use Google to advertise your business they can provide you daily statistics to show how many people were reached using you campaign. Local newspapers and publications should also provide similar information.
