Ok I'll fill you in on a bit of the detail.

Basically, there's a scheme run across the country called Young Enterprise. It helps young people in schools develop their business and entrepreneurial skills.

In my school, it is open to the 6th form which is Year 12, and we have to think of a good idea for a school based company by Thursday, when we have to give a presentation to get into the scheme.
Once in, we will get access to 2 mentors who will help us develop our company and make it into really successful.

So here's the question. At the moment we thought of personalised T-Shirts (which the teacher said was crap) and an online Fantasy Football competition for students - where they could win a prize if they came first.

Can any of you guys think of any other ideas that may work in a school environment. A product, a service, anything that will help us beat the competition to get into the scheme itself.

• Create an Online Fan Club (Family and friends)
• Create an Online Booster Club (Local businesses)
• Connect Online with Coaches and Scouts
• Raise Funds for the Team through Sponsorships and Donations
• Refer Other Athletes and Earn Commissions

SportsFolio™ Online is also a fund-raiser for youth sports organizations! This program also provides a unique opportunity for local businesses to support youth athletic and gain exposure at the same time.

How it Works:
1. Youth sports organizations register with the service and setup an account.
2. Athletes register with the service, linkup with their sports organization, and create a Profile page. The program automatically creates an e-mail page ready to send.
3. Athletes e-mail their Profile page to family and friends requesting sponsorships and donations.
4. The e-mail recipient clicks the link and makes a donation, or sponsors the athlete online.
5. When a business sponsors an athlete, the company name and web site link is automatically placed on the athlete's Profile page

The sponsoring business gains advertising exposure every time the athlete sends the Profile page to family, friends, and coaches. The individual athlete sponsorship fee is $49 annually. The team sponsorship is $399 annually. The school sponsorship is $799 annually.

In compliance with NCAA rules, no funds raised through donations and sponsorships are paid directly to the athletes. All funds are paid to the organization with which they are associated.

The referral program provides a new way for student-athletes to earn extra income. The software automatically pays a commission to registered athletes when they refer other athletes who subscribe to the SportsFolio Premium service.

Our proprietary software tracks the transaction, credits the athlete’s account, and pays commissions monthly through PayPal™ Mass Payment service.
