Lightbulb Idea sharing online - good idea?

Hi, so my question is, should we trust idea sharing websites? Are ideas safe on them? Do any websites exist that offer secure/safe places to share or build on ideas?

I have a couple of good ideas that I'd like to get help with online but don't know whether to trust the people using them.

Suggestions/opinions?

Thanks, James

The way I look at it is that there are probably thousands of people with the same idea all over the globe. I don't think that idea sharing sites will cause too much harm.

I hold the opposite view. How will you know whether it is a truly good idea without bouncing it off of others? Sure, others may like your idea - but they make lack the passion, follow through, or resources to make it happen.
