    IDEA: Ice Cream Delivery Service

    Hey,

Soo just now I figured I wanted some ice cream to ease the munchies but seriously the local convenience store is a b!tch of a walk away. So, what do you guys think as a local ice cream delivery service on campus?

Totally a random thought that I dont think would be huge, but just wondering.

    What do you all think?

    Zlad.

    Hey,

That company, Edible ArrangementsĀ® Fresh Fruit Baskets, Gift Bouquets & Chocolate Covered Strawberries!, had 2008 revenues of $19.4 million! Break-even after six months!

I feel like the two are on the same idea/vibe. Is it wrong to assume so? ..and I know it would have to be seasonal.

YUMMIE! If you do gelato's aswell you should come to BC and visit the businesses here.. particularily mine lol

Try it out, nothing will happen if you don't take a risk.. and i assume it won't be too much of a startup cost..

For the winter, maybe you could set something up with a local bakery (or a friend who loves to bake) and deliver cupcakes or freshly baked cookies and treats..
Or specialy hot chocolate, with whipped cream and marshmallows and chocolate drizzle.. which you cannot find in the coffee machine

Just a suggestion, but since college campuses are mostly closed in the summer, fall, winter and spring are your primary seasons. How about a mobile coffee cart?

Just wanted to add about the seasonal thing.. It is even more of a b!tch to walk distances in the cold! yuck..
If you could make your business winter-treat friendly, i think it would be even more of a hit..
There is one greasy spoon in town that delivers full breakfasts (eggs benny, pancakes, the whole works) to businesses.. i make very good use out of this place during the snowy months

And most people love good treats.. not just girls like me..
I used to work at a marina with all guys.. and i made it part of my executive assistant job during the dreary winter to buy the marina hotchocolate powder, peppermint candycanes, mini marshmallows, whipped cream, cinnamon and chcolate syrup (and coffee for those who needed it).
I went and picked it up but it was on the stores cost..

For the end of fall and winter months, I made the guys kickass hotchocolates or mochas in between my other work tasks.. and they loved it! Including my boss who wanted to give me a $5 raise for the following year!!

Only if you order a minimum of X amount of ice cream. It'd be a failure if you had to drive to an apartment for a single bar of ice cream. Consider selling a box of it.
