I work at a warehouse, wholesales question

I work at a warehouse, and have found a product I could sell really well on ebay etc.

I find tags on the skids of where its coming from, without a phone number. Mostly it just has the address of somewhere in the States, or once in awhile I find China

There is no number, and I Have tried looking up the address and reverse look up.

What would you guys do in my situation.. travelling there seems a little crazy. The only thing I can think of, is finding an address near where they are and finding any info and asking someone to do the dirty work for me.

    Thanks guys

If you have the address where it was shipped from I can't see how you can not find the business... something does not makes sense... If you know what the product is then you can easily look up where to get it... I must be missing something.

Here is what your not understanding. (I will try to explain better)

I typed the information into the search directory and I find absolutely nothing.

What good is an address without any phone number, as, I am not planning on travelling to China anytime soon. LoL

Basically its having an address like 4559 Shanghai dr, China and typing it into a global 411, google etc, and nothing is coming up.

Kind of like how a lot of warehouses aren't listed as they don't want the general public contacting them for individual units.

Any thing you can add now that you may understand me better?

Is there anyone in your warehouse that has the shipping manifest information? Talk to one of them about getting the info on what the product is. Just say you are interested in getting it for yourself...

Or, try searching alibaba.com to see if you can find the product and/or address.

Stop looking at the address and start looking at the product. If the box has 123 Main St on it but contains a TV set with the name brand "Daves TV" then you know what you are looking for.... what does the address matter?

I'm with Roger on this one. Start by searching for the product and then use the address information you have to determine if you've really found a supplier for it.

if its issued only to cable companys, like a motorola product..

I can't seem to find the product threw that site. I have looked and tried to find suppliers but they usually only issue to people with the license under the cable business.

i know someone who has this, now I'm trying to find the supplier in china which does the wholesale.. which is why I have the address...

    capiche? heh

just look at the waybill # or get a number you can take to the customs office. who is the shipping agent? the numbers on the label all lead to someplace.

but, what i'd like to know is, how do you know what's in the closed boxes to know that you like the product so much??? a few fall off the truck and land in your trunk??

    nothing 'fell off the truck'

I happen to test the units, which is why I ask. I wouldnt consider stealing them so I would like to sell them as a part time business, and you can only do that if you can get these ordered from the wholesaler/distributor which I have the address (sometimes) but can't seem to find any information about it.
