I set up a website and want to sell chinese knot which represent fortunate, welfare and peace. They are so beautiful and profound, but I don't know how is the market and how to sell such traditional product because of culture difference, I would be grateful if any one could give me some advice.

Personally, I'd suggest researching the items more closely. Check out Amazon.com, eBay.com, and online webstores via google.com. There's really no set amount, I'm sure, considering that any amount you set on them is the current going rate from your store/web store, but if you know the competition's rates, then you're on a better track to success.

Also, if your knots are better quality, more detailed, or possibly even certifiable, then you may be able to charge more money for them, than the others. I'm not familiar with knots, so I can't say that this is the case, but it's worth looking into.

A web store isn't that hard to create, especially with free to low cost hosting, free shopping cart programs, and paypal.com to accept payment, it'd be a relatively low start up fee.

Either way, hopefully this helps you some, and good luck.

Try starting with some keyword research and find out if anybody actually wants chinese knot. Go onto google and type in "adwords" or "keyword tool" do some research with the keyword tools and see how many people are searching for chinese knot. Find out if anybody actually wants chinese knot, because if nobody wants what you offer then it will be a struggle to make money.

I Google'd Chinese knot because I had never heard of it before.
There are already many ebay sellers of Chinese Knot products, so you would have to consider some ways of differentiating yourself from the existing product providers. Considering ebay is pretty much all about having the lowest price, you may want to consider other options for distributing your product. On the optimistic side, there appeared to be relatively few independent online store fronts specializing in Chinese Knot products, and that might be worth investigating further.

I would begin my market research by determining who specifically is the end purchaser of Asian gifts and nick nacks, and I would questioning them about their desire to purchase such items.
