Unhappy I want to sell homemade cookies online - how much would the license cost?

How much of a pain is it to get a license just to make homemade cookies and sell it online?

This really was just a joke and don't know if I even want to go through with it.

Started out when I got into a discussion of certain brand cookies, and my sister said there was no such thing. I remembered growing up with these dang cookies though. I did a google search and there were tons of people talking about how they loved these cookies so I was in my sisters face like "HA!" well we kept scrolling and everywhere someone mentioned the cookies, someone below would respond that there was no such thing as those cookies. DOH, further research showed that most people mixed up the names of two different "cookie snacks" and even google said that around 250 people a month do a search on "brand name cookies". So my sister won the argument

Well I bought the domain name matching the brand and told her I am going to make these cookies and satisfy the millions of people wanting them and become rich.
Stuck with a domain now and don't feel like cooking anything but I'll do it just to show my sister up.

So how hard is it to get a license? Otherwise I will create a mockup page and see if I get visitors and order requests...I'll work it to not take down orders just order information or something along those lines.

Hmm...well thanks for posting up your question. The first piece of advice I would say for you is to never go into any business halfheartedly. You have to have the intensity of a charging bull, running horse or bulldozer in order to succeed within any industry. Know this, there are thousands of companies, people trying to compete with you for that customers so you have to be determined first to do anything. Let along succeed at any business.

As for getting started, just build a website, launch it and start reaching out to places who might want to carry your product (after you have registered of course) and promote it via social media (facebook, twitter etc.). The main thing is to have validation for your idea so put satisfied testimonials everywhere you can. Get others to tune in and provide incentives etc. Be innovative because the world of business is competitive. You have to think differently. No point in having million business owners thinking the same, providing the same product and not trying to make it better. That would stink so make yourself better than everyone else! Execution of an idea is important, keep that in mind!

    Good luck!
