Okey dokey. Here's how you do it.

1) Capitalise on the self publishing trend. There is about 2 blogs created every second.

2) Offer a free service where bloggers can quickly create an ad for their blog. Bloggers need a tool to post vivid descriptions of what their blog is about to capture more readership. The bloggers are in business as well trying to earn ad revenue and a free service they can use to differentiate them selves would be successful.

3) Include an ad for www.reeldealvideos.com in the free videos bloggers create and post on their sites.

4) That's it. You will now have a viral product. Hundreds of bloggers will end up advertising the paid version of your business by simple virtue of using the free version of your tool.

Good luck. I think what you are doing is great.

Bonus: Create/copy funny/remarkable videos (with a little ad for reeldealvideos) and post them on video sharing networks: http://www.techcrunch.com/2005/11/06...ckrs-of-video/

A couple of ideas:

Join other groups or forums online and be an active contributor. I would recommend finding business website development forums.

Find a few websites that interest you (say 10 - 20). Email the webmaster. First, let him know why you enjoy the site and what you like about the design specifically. Then, include a link to a sample video on your site. You could, depending on your overhead costs of creation, make a custom video for each site that you decide to email. I would ask for feedback regarding how the video would fit with the website. Make sure that you personalize the emails as much as possible so that they look nothing like spam.

I agree with Akula that your advertising will be viral if you can just begin the word-of-mouth train somehow. Good luck.

Oh, and I love your idea by-the-way. I hope that it is profitable for you. I would recommend putting prices...at least estimates...on your website. Even something like, "Starting at $99" or, "Add video for as little as $5". People like me want to have some idea of what they might be paying, otherwise we leave and forget about you.

I also like the idea, it is basically the low-cost hire of a recording studio, but these days I am more excited by promotion media such as sitepal intros by oddcast.net, it is definately nowhere near a saturated market for animated info-clips, even though sitepal is the leading product, I would be interested in similar companies emerging offering similar products.

I just recently started testing some promotional techniques and it's been going well.

When became interested in the subject, the first thing I did was read and participate in those forums of my interest. One time I read a post by an individual in the entertainment business that was getting a lot of publicity. So one of the things he mentioned was that he had started out by writing a press release and published it on prweb.com.

"I learn, I analyze and if found beneficial, I take action", thats my motto, so I first wrote a little press release and paid $10 to prweb for publishing. The article was read by 1,700 people within 24 hours. Two days later, I wrote the real article about a venture that I had launched and paid a little more, this time $30 for prweb to publish it. This last one was read by twelve thousand (12,000) people within 24 hours. I was really amazed at the results.

The reason the second article pulled more readership was because for $30, prweb will push your article to google news, yahoo news and another media company.

There is another package that costs $80, which even pushes your articles to more media networks. From what I read at the board, if your article is great, reporters may start contacting you for more information, and from there, the rest is history.

Another thing I learned recently is about becoming member of your local chamber of commerce. It seems that for a small fee, they will list you on their directory and other print items.

By the way, let me know if you would be interested in affiliating with a web development company. I just returned from the consumer electronic show (CES) that took place in Las Vegas about 2 weeks ago and one of the things I learned is that one of the biggest things this year will be entertainment.

In preparation for this gold rush, I'm adding entertainment packages to my web development business creating a new fan club website to amass users and attract entertainers to my packages.

As a value added component to those entertainers, I already have a music shopping site that instantly puts their products on the map. The site is:

http://www.PuntaMusic.com

The site is currently pulling over 350,000 hits per month. Not a great deal, but it is bringing in sales from over 10 different countries.

Music videos online is one component of my web development packages. I have some video experts to cover the California area and parts of New York. If you are interested in having me forwarding business your way for a predefined arrangement, please contact me through me website:

http://www.GariDigital.com

The idea would be for you to make the music videos of those clients that I get for web development around the area you cover.
