I need help! Marketing and Advertising advice.

I have started up a new business - and have started receiving people signing up from all over the country.

The problem is - I will need to find customers in the local areas of all the people signing up.

Does anyone have any ideas of how I could market my business so that the whole country could see it sorta thing? I only have a budget of around £2000 for marketing so it's probably gotta be really small scale.

I have social network sites set up but that doesn't really feel like it will be enough.

I also need people to find out about the site as soon as possible, please help!

    Regards,

    Luke

Have you thought about optimizing for local search? It would require setting up microsites (which you could do all on one domain with subdomains or subfolders), but then you could target your keywords for specific local areas. Meaning, if someone Googled "handyman in Atlanta," you could have your site come up in the Places listings on Google with a link back to your Atlanta microsite. For local searches, usually about 7-10 Places listings will show on the front page, and it's much easier to get in the top Places spots than the top organic spots. One problem with this, though, is that Google wants a physical address for a places listing, so you would have to find a way to circumvent that issue.
