I need help in how to discover a niche?

    Hi

I really need some help in how to identify a niche. I'm not sure what area I want to start up a business in yet, but are there any websites with data about different markets which could help me identify a niche? Failing that could someone provide me with some tips on what I can do.

    Many thanks

    Charlie

Charlie, just a suggestion on my part. Niches may not be all that difficult to find. Just speaking for myself I like to to do an inventory on myself, how I spend my time on line or in my spare time. What interests me? If you have an interest in something chances are you allready know at least a little about it and your learning curve is much higher. There may also be other things that you are not aware of that may be associated with your particular interest.
I spend quite a bit of time on special interest forums that involve my hobbies for instance, without exception there are specialized items and products used by these groups as well as other groups with similar interests. I recomend identifying items that require a little footwork to put togeter, their will be less competion and more appreciation for the product. You may have to find a source of raw materials and then find a craftsman to put it togther as well as possibly an artist to design it. I have done this for side money and a hobby initself over the years and it's not that hard. You become a contibutor to the various forums and get yourself known. This helps a lot also. Steve

I firmly believe that you have to find something you are passionate about. Only then, you have a real chance of making a difference. I have seen people making money of such unthinkable niches that nothing surprises me anymore. So do not look for a niche somewhere else but in your own heart.

    Good luck to you !

    Finding Opportunities in Every Market

For years, I tried to succeed with countless business ventures and niche ideas that I thought was sure to make me rich, wealthy and retired by 30. Well, I'm 31 now and not quite retired, but I finally figured out a business model that's putting money in my pocket. The only advice I can provide while searching for that niche idea, is something I learned from an extremely hot lady named Vanessa Summers, who I saw on CNBC alongside the other hot financial babes on that network. At the time I saw Vanessa on TV in late 2007, I was down in the dumps with the rest of the nation. For a moment, however, I ignored her model looks and listened. Her message was simple; during economic downtimes, there are more opportunities available for entrepreneurs, or anyone else looking to expand their business into new territories. I didn't see the opportunities because I was still in shock from my own personal financial losses that I had recently endured. I took a look around and realized that when everyone's asleep and down because of a rough economy, that's the best time to make a move.

Try to look at it this way.

trend - tendency: a general direction in which something tends to move

and my intro to business book states, "you must find a need in the market and fill the hole"

Look around everyday: people, advertising, television, etc. And keep an eye on new trends and decide the direction its going to go in. Positive or Negative.

Good luck. Remember USA market is all about service.

What issues do you face on a regular basis? If you can come up with a solution for that issue, I'm sure there are many others who have the same problem.

Online businesses are the work at home jobs for today. You can be your own boss, make up your own hours, part-time or full-time, and your efforts directly affect your success.

I suggest promoting affiliate programs. Commision junction, clickbank, and azoogle are good ones. It is free to get started. Get your affiliate links and promote them.

The concept is simple but there is actual work and research to be profitable. Some people try it and flop with no returns while others make tens of thousands of dollars in commisions every month.

To get started I recommend the FREE Affiliate Masters eBook. It is a FREE quality eBook that will walk you step by step through the whole process of starting, monetizing and promoting an online business.
