My suggestion would be spending some time researching on the options you have with the online business. Do you wanna run a blog? Or you wanna sell stuff? Web consulting? Once you figure out your options you'll have a clearer picture what you can do.

Have you ever been employed before? If yes I would suggest you do something similar to that online. Are you passionate about something? See if you could take that passion and use it towards a business venture. If you have no previous experience with anything I would suggest you take a course and learn something that you can do online.

As many others have said, the first step is knowing the direction you want to go in. I would suggest a blog/adsense venture first.

While I can personally tell you that this most likely will not be too profitable, it will teach the importance of your sites appearance, functionality, image and content. It can also teach you valuable lessons in search engine optimization and just how vast the internet is and how difficult traffic can be to get to your site.

Novel ideas are great but start out with something like a blog to get your feet wet. Some people have actually turned blogs into successful passive income opportunities by hiring freelance writers once they get it going.

As an Internet Marketing pioneer I get asked this a lot. First try to do something YOU are PASSIONATE about. Then NARROW down your FOCUS to an area receiving a lot of attention in that niche. Then develop a mobile app for it that can be used on Android and Apple.
